PC to Phone services permit the user to call any conventional telephone from their PC, by using either a combination microphone/speakers (earphone), or a softphone. Because of the cost that is usually involved for the VoIP provider to connect to the PSTN network (regular telephone system), there is usually a fee involved when using this service.
